Description

Job Title: Foreman [Maintenance] Reports To: Maintenance Manager FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt Supervisor Responsibilities: Yes – Team Leader Position Summary The Foreman is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of their assigned department’s hourly maintenance associates, ensuring that all work is delivered safely while utilizing efficiency and maintaining quality. This position directs the assigned proactive and reactive maintenance processes and has key accountability in the areas of safety, quality, and quantity. Responsibilities Trains and manages hourly maintenance employees on the assigned shift and functional area(s). Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of direct reports. Provides engagement and performance evaluation for direct reports. Job Responsibilities Will provide maintenance employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations. Maintain and organize work orders for the department to include management and schedule. Perform daily Inspection of Departmental Process Equipment. Promptly address performance issues. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Will follow policies, procedures and business plan while coordinating work activities with other supervisors. Oversee departmental payroll such as checking and auditing timecards, adjusting and recording attendance. Perform safety meetings with department employees on a weekly basis. Make sure all repairs are lined up with the Maintenance Manager in a timely manner. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Requirements Candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in an industrial production environment such as maintenance, assembly, machining, fabrication, or foundry operations. Must have excellent trouble shooting skills. Strong time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent communication skills. Qualifications 2 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role, directing the daily work of others required. AAS degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Management, or related field, preferrable. Consideration given to candidates with experience in lieu of education. Experience working in a unionized environment preferred. Job Type: Full-time – 8 Hour Shift. Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday overtime may be assigned. Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year base. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus. Benefits 401(k) enrollment after 6 months of service. 401(k) matching – 50% of the first 6% contributed by the employee. Medical, Dental and Vision insurance. Enrollment eligible the first of the month after hire. Health savings account. Company provided Short and Long-term Disability, and supplemental Life Insurance. Paid time off and vacation time.
