Description

Special Instructions to Applicants Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. The University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B). Job Summary Assists lead, Masters Level Therapists at The Children's Center on the Hattiesburg Campus in the classroom setting with therapy including preparing materials and setting up activities, managing child safety and order in the room and cleaning and disinfecting. Organizing and maintaining shared materials and equipment and supporting operational needs of the program including participating in fundraising endeavors as requested. Primary Job Duties Provides intervention support for infant to preschool-aged children with moderate-severe communication and developmental disabilities in a classroom settings while working with multiple disciplines and supporting families. Assists with all classroom duties under the supervision of a Masters-level therapist, including managing and maintaining safety of children, creating, setting up, and breaking down developmentally appropriate activities, cleaning and disinfecting therapy materials, and assisting with self-help skills such as feeding and toileting. Maintaining shared spaces and storage with classroom materials and specialized equipment. Participates in fundraising and awareness activities to bolster support for The Center community and statewide. Performs other duties as assigned.
