Non Licensed Therapist CAMCT
Job Description: The Mobile Crisis Team of Cullman County is two-person team (Master level/Bachelor level or Peer Support) available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year to respond to Cullman County residents in mental health and behavioral health crisis. The Mobile Crisis Team assists with resolving immediate crisis through assessment, direct intervention, or a referral. Referrals are received through the community-stake holders, 988, and other community members. The goal is to provide the least restrictive care while avoiding overuse of the local emergency department, law enforcement, and inpatient hospitalization. This is a full-time 3rd shift position working Monday - Friday, 11:00PM - 7:00AM.
What you’ll be doing:
Conduct individual and/or family therapy with children and adolescent population ages three to eighteen.
Work with Program Manager and Co-Therapist to assist families on a 24/7 call basis.
Provide Crisis Intervention for client and client’s family when called.
Perform initial assessments, intakes and prepare documentation of such for client’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Prepare with client a treatment plan to include goals.
Facilitate warm hand-off to Co-Therapist and or Care Coordinator.
Obtain certification in the CANS System.
Conduct CANS Assessments Work closely with co-therapist, care coordinator & guardians regarding client’s needs.
Participate in various meetings to include departmental, divisional, or other meetings as required.
Complete billing documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain educational requirements regarding licensure per AL Department of Mental Health state standards.
Perform outreach in partnership with DHR.
Work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends twice a month.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
Masters in a social sciences field with a clinical practicum or internship
At least 1 year postmasters clinical experience preferred
Acceptable 3 year driving record & reliable transportation
Valid Alabama Driver’s License w/ required Personal Liability Insurance Automobile Insurance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred minimum of one year working with seriously emotionally disturbed children (SED)
Previous experience working with crisis
Ability to work non-traditional hours
Ability to work as a member of a Team
