Guided by its mission &ldquo;Clean power for all,&rdquo; Sungrow continues to drive innovation and global sustainability.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The Position:</strong></p><p>As a Medium Voltage Transformer (MVT) Engineer with the Sungrow Service Department, you will responsible for applying knowledge and theory of Electrical Engineering, Magnetics, and Power systems. &nbsp;In addition you will be completing internal and customer specific reviews. This will include design reviews, equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, and root cause analysis (RCA) reports.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze transformers and it&rsquo;s components in the field.</li><li>Utilize IEEE, NETA, NEC, and UL standards for testing and safety procedures.</li><li>Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning.</li><li>Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.</li><li>Coordinate with HQ and OEMs to investigate design issues and use Lean Six Sigma techniques for design improvements and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.</li><li>Provide on-job training to other team members.</li><li>Maintain strong client relationships.</li><li>Demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe behaviors.</li><li>Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.</li><li>Train Field Service employees on processes and procedures.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements and Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited University or College.</li><li>Solar/Battery Energy Storage industry experience is preferred.</li><li>Minimum 3 years overall experience working with liquid filled and/or dry-type transformers.</li><li>Experience performing Power Factor, Insulation Resistance, and Dissolved Gas Analysis testing.</li><li>Understanding of prioritizing work based upon urgency.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environments.</li><li>Technical problem solving/analytical skills.</li><li>Self-starter, strong initiatives and an excellent communicator.</li><li>System and product level mindset.</li><li>Organization, detailed-oriented nature and strong initiative.</li><li>Strong technical support focus and a service-oriented mindset both with the Sales team and customers .</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Travel:</strong></p><ul><li>50%</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Work Location and Status:</strong></p><ul><li>Full time based in Houston, TX.
