    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Graduate School of Social Work Online Adjunct Professor is responsible for instruction, course preparation, grading and assessment, and professional responsibilities in assigned online courses as a member of the instructional team of the college or academic department. In the distance education MSW program, courses are asynchronous, with some flexible synchronous meetings each semester. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Teach a minimum of one graduate level course each semester</li>\n <li>Follow department policies: grading policies, deadlines, communication policies, writing expectations, hosting and leading Zoom meetings with students, recording and posting recorded lectures in the course platform, and other functions associated with distance education best practices established by the department and Director</li>\n <li>Be prompt and accurate in the recording and reporting of student data</li>\n <li>Support students’ learning goals by the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Focusing on student learning outcomes</li>\n   <li>Taking into account the needs and abilities of the students</li>\n   <li>Becoming familiar with academic and social support</li>\n   <li>Making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences</li>\n   <li>Foster and support safety and equity in the online learning environment </li>\n   <li>Maintaining the academic integrity of the program and university </li>\n   <li>Making himself/herself/themselves available to assist student in achieving their learning goals </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/ Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An MSW or Doctoral degree is preferred (or an equivalent of highest attainable degree)</li>\n <li>An LCSW licensure is preferred and required for clinical courses</li>\n <li>Previous collegiate teaching experience in the asynchronous online environment is required (1 year minimum, prefer minimum of 3-5 years of online graduate teaching experience)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prefer online course design knowledge and experience</li>\n <li>Prefer strong online teaching pedagogy with adult learners</li>\n <li>Must have command over technology use, Zoom, LMS platforms, email, AI teaching tools, etc.</li>\n <li>Must be familiar and committed to working with diverse student body, highly accessible to students, and willing to mentor and support small classroom sizes to foster quality experience</li>\n <li>Be flexible working with students in different time zones</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $5,000.00/Course\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $5,000.00/Course",
