With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role description:</strong></p>\n<p>Arcadis is searching for a<strong>&nbsp;Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer/Project Manager</strong>&nbsp;to join our Resilience Water Team in Mobile, Alabama!</p>\n<p>As a Senior Engineer/Project Manager, you will work with multiple engineering disciplines on water/wastewater-related projects.&nbsp; &nbsp;You will&nbsp;manage the full spectrum of the project lifecycle (conceptual-level planning, permitting, detailed design development, and construction support) and participate in business development activities. Water and Wastewater example projects include distribution system improvement projects, hydraulic modeling, conveyance-related construction projects, gravity sewer main rehabilitation construction projects, inflow and infiltration assessment and reduction programs, water treatment and reclamation.&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<p>In this role, you will manage each phase of assigned projects including contracting, planning, scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, supervising design, reporting progress, supporting procurement of construction services, and administering construction activities.&nbsp; You will perform a critical role in keeping projects on task, on time and on budget.&nbsp; Where applicable, you will evaluate plans and technical design for completeness and constructability, you will support permitting and other professional engineering services during construction, which may include construction observation, review of shop drawings, responses to requests for information (RFIs), and permit closeouts.&nbsp; Additional responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Overseeing the development of&nbsp;design calculations, technical report sections, technical design drawings and specifications</li>\n <li>Preparing construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water/wastewater/stormwater systems for clients</li>\n <li>Developing cost estimates and project schedules, completing design tasks within budget and on schedule</li>\n <li>Supervising and supporting the work of others and mentoring junior-level engineering and design/drafting staff</li>\n <li>Leveraging work experience and client relationships to win new projects, in collaboration with Principal-level staff.</li>\n <li>Preparing and presenting project-related information to clients for weekly and monthly progress meetings</li>\n <li>Traveling for project site visits, client meetings, or other project-related activities</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or related field.</li>\n <li>12 years of relevant engineering project management experience.</li>\n <li>PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in project management involving design and construction engineering for water and wastewater projects, which may include distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pump and lift stations, and treatment facilities. They should possess demonstrated project leadership experience, having served as a Project Manager, Design Lead, or Technical Lead on projects of varying sizes.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience in construction inspection and management, as well as asset management and condition assessment, is highly desirable. Additional preferred qualifications include process mechanical design experience and active participation in regional or national professional associations.
