      "Value": "<strong>Quality Specialist-Kansas City, KS</strong><br>This is a full-time, non-exempt level position.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Experience / Qualifications Required</strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field preferred.</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in quality or manufacturing preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Training Required</strong></p><ul><li>Annual Training</li><li>HACCP / PC Training</li><li>PCQI Training</li><li>GFSI Training</li><li>Food Safety and Sanitation Training</li></ul><strong>General Job Description</strong><ul><li>Ability to complete all tasks assigned to the Quality Technicians and cover as needed.</li><li>The coverage for this position will be required when no other Quality Technician can be found to cover for the open position.</li><li>If the Quality Assurance Specialist is unable to cover or make arrangements for coverage, the Quality Manager will need to determine coverage or cover the position themselves.</li><li>The job duties of the Quality Specialist covering for the Quality Technician shall cease upon the end of the shift or upon the return of the regularly scheduled Quality Technician.</li><li>Ability to complete tasks assigned to the Quality Manager and cover as needed.</li><li>Tasks to cover during the absence of the Quality Manager include but are not limited to: Formal Release, verification tasks, log updating and review and ensuring sampling is taking place properly.</li><li>The job duties of the Quality Specialist covering for the Quality Manager shall cease upon the end of the shift or upon the return of the plant Quality Manager.</li><li>Assisting the Quality Manager in development of personnel and courier schedules.</li><li>Responsibility to help identify food safety &amp;/or product integrity issues. As well as, initiate and record actions for food safety &amp;/or product integrity issues reported.</li><li>Responsible for conducting the Annual Food Safety Training utilizing the Alchemy system.</li><li>Responsible for training all new Quality Technicians to ensure that they are adequately trained for on-the-job tasks. Help create reference material for Quality Technicians.</li><li>Inventory, and order lab supplies, as needed.</li><li>Catalog all foreign material evidence &amp; review with Quality Manager to determine if further investigation is required.</li><li>Manage the Plant Retain Sample Program, including storage &amp; disposal.</li><li>Review batch paperwork and associated quality checks, follow-up on discrepancies &amp; update required spreadsheets. This includes but is not limited to signing off on quality checks, cleaning check lists, metal detection checks, calibration records, environmental &amp; product testing records.</li><li>Manage the Quality Hold Program, including identification, placarding, disposition &amp; disposal.</li><li>Participate as a member of the Plant Internal Audit Team.</li><li>Support Quality Manager in maintaining product sampling matrices, product specifications &amp; sight samples, as well as, communicate revisions to the necessary personnel.</li><li>Support Customer Complaint &amp; Root Cause Investigations.</li><li>Review, updated &amp;/or create documentation to support the Quality Management System.</li><li>Support the Lab Technicians as needed, duties may include</li><li>3rd Party Lab Testing Sample Requests &amp; Sample Submissions</li><li>Proficiency Testing</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
