The Technology Center provides Fisher Barton customers with manufacturing process development, testing, and prototyping to develop and test new or improve your existing products.</p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>The Production Lead - CNC Turning is a critical role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our CNC turning department. This individual will ensure the efficient and high-quality production of precision parts, lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in CNC turning, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail and quality.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Oversee Production:</strong><ul><li>Coordinate and prioritize daily production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demands.</li><li>Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal machine utilization.</li><li>Oversee the setup and operation of CNC turning centers, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.</li><li>Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.</li><li>Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of finished parts, addressing any non-conformances.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Team Leadership &amp; Troubleshooting:</strong><ul><li>Perform minor machine maintenance and preventive checks.</li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, working with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs.</li><li>Ensure proper tooling management, including ordering, inventory, and maintenance.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Reporting:</strong><ul><li>Generate daily production reports, detailing output, scrap rates, and any issues encountered.</li><li>Communicate effectively with management on production status, challenges, and opportunities.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li><li>Associate&#39;s degree or vocational training in Machining Technology, CNC Programming, or a related field preferred.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Experience:</strong><ul><li>Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong emphasis on CNC turning.</li><li>At least 2-3 years of experience in a lead, supervisory, or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Proficiency in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting multi-axis CNC turning centers (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Doosan, Star, Citizen).</li><li>Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming; ability to edit and optimize programs.</li><li>Experience with various materials (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, brass, plastics, exotic alloys).</li><li>Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, optical comparators).</li></ul></li><li><strong>Skills &amp;
