    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\"><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong>The Cable Splicer is a safety focused professional with the ability to construct and repair electrical underground systems. You will work on energized and de‑energized systems and may be required travel to different job sites, including out‑of‑state locations, as operational and customer needs dictate. You will report to the Foreman.</span></span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de‑energized underground new work systems while putting safety first.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Install and repair underground power, conductors and related hardware.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Comprehensive knowledge of tagging procedures, grounding and induced voltage on energized and de-energized lines using the proper tools and test equipment and understanding of underground services, infrastructure and duct banks.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Work in confined spaces, and in proximity to energized equipment.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Will operate a backhoe, bucket trucks and digger trucks, mini excavator.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Perform live‑line work using approved gloving and hot‑stick techniques of energized lines.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and possess a comprehensive understanding of insulated protective cover to isolate differences of potential.</span></span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\"><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Three (3) years of recent underground experience.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Willing to travel long distances on short notice.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Work for extended periods at job locations, including out‑of‑state assignments.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.</span></span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\"><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.</span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">While performing the responsibilities of this job, you will be required to talk, listen and use hand signals to communicate.
