Safety Manager- Kiewit Power Constructors

Responsibilities Safety Planning and Implementation: •    Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and procedures specific to power generation projects •    Ensure that safety protocols are aligned with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and Kiewit's safety standards. •    Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and assess safety risks. Training and Education: •    Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors. Provide guidance on safety-related certifications and qualifications required for specific job roles. •    Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all levels of the organization.      Incident Management and Investigation: •    Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents. •    Analyze root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure timely reporting of all safety incidents in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Regulatory Compliance: •    Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and standards applicable to power generation projects •    Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies. Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits. Safety Performance Monitoring: •    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure safety performance on projects. •    Conduct regular assessments and audits to evaluate adherence to safety standards and identify areas for improvement. •    Provide timely and accurate safety reports to project management and senior leadership. Qualifications • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial or equivalent degree/work experience • 3+ years of experience in Heavy Industrial and/or Solar projects • Strong work ethic; good interpersonal and organizational skills • Must be able to act independently with little or no supervision and work collaboratively on a team environment • Ability to operate a standard personal computer as well as knowledge of and experience with standard office computer software. • Ability to carry out duties in varying work environments including wide ranging weather conditions and terrain. • Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements is preferred #LI-HG1
