As a global nonprofit organization that saves and heals lives by honoring donated gifts and serving patients, we collaborate with the medical, scientific, as well as organ and tissue donation communities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our goal is simple–do what's right for patients, surgeons, tissue donors, and their families through our guiding principles.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The laboratory associate is an entry level position and is responsible for test method execution in accordance to validated MTF procedures and standards set forth by AATB, FDA, TGA, and USP.</p>\n<p>The laboratory associate will provide support to the laboratory staff in the qualification, implementation and continuation of test methods</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>6 month Contracted Position</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Sunday-Thursday 7:30AM-3:30PM</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for performing test methods following laboratory systems of operation, current Good Laboratory Practices (cGLPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) as well as current and approved laboratory operating procedures (OPs) and work instructions (Wis).</li>\n <li>Ensures test methods are performed within sample hold times.</li>\n <li>Responsible for maintaining proficiency and certification for all test methods that training has been completed.</li>\n <li>Responsible for entering data, generating labels, and tracking samples within the LIMS</li>\n <li>Reconciles/receives samples and maintains chain-of-custody documentation according to MTF documentation procedures.</li>\n <li>Supports MTF's QNQE and Engineering departments to provide documentation to support validations and special projects.</li>\n <li>Maintains control of supply inventory to ensure adequate amounts for daily testing.</li>\n <li>Performs monthly calibrations on micro liter pipettes and thermometers.</li>\n <li>Responsible for identifying and correcting paperwork / data errors occurring during entry.</li>\n <li>Maintains pre and post validation paperwork; provides necessary documentation to QA and R&D for studies.</li>\n <li>Performs daily checks of laboratory equipment including ovens, incubators, hoods, shakers, and thermometers and enters results/documentation to equipment logbooks.</li>\n <li>Perform laboratory assays, microbiological, physical and analytical testing as designated.</li>\n <li>Perform data review for sample throughput daily.</li>\n <li>Performs additional duties as assigned and trained.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>B.S. in biology, microbiology, chemistry, or related science field required.</li>\n <li>1 year of experience in an academic setting</li>\n <li>Valid Drivers License</li>\n <li>Proficient using Microsoft Office and LIMS database</li>\n <li>Strong communication and organization skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
