Assists in the performance of dental and radiography procedures; prepares, cleans, sterilizes, and maintains dental equipment and supplies in accordance with established protocol, procedures and policies aligning with CDC, ADA, and OSHA standards. Coordinates initial patient evaluation and implementation of dental plan. Responsible for patient documentation and office support. Promotes and practices CAN Community Health, Inc.’s mission and values and follows its policies and procedures. Display professionalism, patient centeredness and team collaborative attitudes and behaviors. Comply with HIPAA Privacy, Security and Breach Notification Rules. Familiarity with CAN Community Health, Inc.’s program philosophies, goals, and objectives. Be cognizant of and comply with all CAN’s policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. Review and update dental provider protocols and participate in Quality Assurance programs to minimize risk, in collaboration with the Director of Dental Operations. Participate in Peer Review activities as requested by the Director of Dental Operations. Report as needed to the Director of Dental Operations and Practice Administrator any pertinent information or situations that impact on patient care dental or clinical operations or CAN’s liability Maintain OSHA standards regarding handling and removal of bio-hazardous waste, including bags and Sharps containers. Follow Infection Control guidelines and protocols according to CAN’s exposure and control plan. Inspects, reports and processes maintenance records of assigned dental equipment.
