    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">We are growing and need an experienced Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team. &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><strong>Summary of Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>Responsible for planning, managing and executing geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through construction. &nbsp;This role involves subsurface investigations, foundation design, slope stability analysis, earthwork recommendation and client coordination. &nbsp;Working with Project Managers, the engineer ensures technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and delivery within budget and schedule. Our largest markets currently are transportation and water/wastewater and we are expanding operations. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Plan and oversee geotechnical field investigations (auger and SPT drilling, rock coring, sampling, CPT, test pits, etc.).</p><p>Perform engineering analyses including:</p><ul><li>Shallow and deep foundation design</li><li>Axial and lateral capacity of deep foundations</li><li>Drivability of driven piles</li><li>Bearing resistance of shallow foundations</li><li>Settlement calculations</li><li>Slope stability</li><li>Retaining wall design</li><li>Ground improvement</li><li>Pavement design</li><li>Earthwork and compaction specifications</li></ul><p>Interpret laboratory and field test results.</p><p>Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, calculations, and construction recommendations.</p><p>Manager project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.</p><p>Coordinate with clients, contractors, structural engineers, and regulatory agencies.</p><p>Provide construction-phase services including site visits, foundation observations, and field issue resolution.</p><p>Review and seal engineering documents (if licensed).</p><p>Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.</p><p>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>M.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering</li><li>Active PE license in GA, or ability to obtain a GA PE license within 6 months</li><li>5+ years of Geotechnical experience&nbsp;</li><li>Strong written &amp; verbal communication skills</li><li>Independent problem-solver with excellent organizational skills</li><li>Professionally work with colleagues, other departments and clients</li><li>Solid work ethics</li><li>Safety &amp; Quality mindset&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Heavy civil infrastructure portfolio (geotechnical engineering applied to transportation and water/wastewater markets).
