    "description": "<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\"><u>Scope of Position</u></p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As Calypso&rsquo;s Pool Bar &amp; Grille Barback, you&#39;ll be the dynamic force assisting the bar by completing the opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, etc. The Barback also interacts with the guests in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure all guests have an exemplary experience.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><u>Requirements</u></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Previous Food and Beverage experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment is a plus.&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>A food handling certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment.</li>\r\n\t<li>TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment.</li>\r\n\t<li>Must possess outstanding guest services skills.</li>\r\n\t<li>Knowledge of food and wine is an asset.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><u>Responsibilities</u></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Prepare the bar area for service, ensuring that all necessary supplies, glassware, and garnishes are stocked and readily available.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist the bartenders in preparing and garnishing drink ingredients, such as cutting fruit, mixing syrups, and arranging cocktail elements.</li>\r\n\t<li>Keep the ice bins filled and ensure that the bartenders have an ample supply of ice to use throughout the shift.</li>\r\n\t<li>Collect used glassware, wash, and polish it before returning it to the bar for reuse.</li>\r\n\t<li>Regularly restock liquor, beer, and other beverage supplies to ensure a continuous flow of service during busy periods.</li>\r\n\t<li>Dispose of empty bottles, cans, and trash promptly to maintain a clean and organized bar area.</li>\r\n\t<li>Keep the bar area clean and tidy, wiping down counters, cleaning spills, and maintaining a presentable appearance.</li>\r\n\t<li>Work closely with bartenders, servers, and other associates to provide seamless service and create a fun and efficient bar environment.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist in setting up and organizing special events or promotions at the bar, such as themed nights or cocktail specials.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist with tracking inventory levels, notifying the management team of low supplies, and helping with restocking orders.</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude throughout the shift, infusing the bar with energy and enthusiasm.</li>\r\n\t<li>A passion for providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a vibrant bar atmosphere.</li>\r\n\t<li>A proactive and can-do attitude, always seeking ways to support the bartenders and improve efficiency.</li>\r\n\t<li>Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages and basic bar operations is a plus.</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><u>Skills &amp; Abilities</u></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to communicate in the English language.
