Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is looking for a motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Professional to help foster a safety-focused culture at our Sacramento Light Passenger Rail and Locomotive facility. This role works alongside multiple teams to identify hazards, manage risks, and ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
The EHS Professional is highly visible and active across the manufacturing campus, supporting daily EHS operations and helping to improve EHS programs and management systems. Strong technical skills, collaborative problem-solving, and effective communication are essential for influencing safe behaviors.
This is a second shift position
What your day-to-day will look like:
EHS Program Implementation & Compliance
Support and improve Siemens Mobility EHS programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the site.
Review new equipment and projects for EHS impacts, offering recommendations as needed.
Hazard Identification & Risk Management
Work with teams to proactively identify and address workplace hazards.
Develop and track corrective actions, support JSAs and risk assessments, and provide on-floor coaching.
Incident Management & Continuous Improvement
Participate in incident investigations and ensure prompt documentation and closure of corrective actions.
Analyze EHS data to identify improvements and report key performance indicators.
