Scheduled hours of work will vary between 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, and 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, depending on the program's needs.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Direct Support Professional (DSP) works directly with people with disabilities in a center-based setting, assisting them with personal care and projects as needed. Assist and mentor DSP levels 1 and 2 in training as needed&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Communication – Speak clearly; listen to others; write effectively; establish relationships; act with integrity; establish trust&nbsp;</li><li>Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures compliance with all applicable legal requirements and accreditation standards. Ensures that all department activities are conducted in a manner that is consistent with Rise’s Code of Conduct, CARF standards, and HIPAA policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Model appropriate behavior and interactions&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with lifting and transferring adults to/from wheelchairs and assist with personal care&nbsp;</li><li>Continually inspire personal growth in the people you support by establishing and achieving personal goals and implementing person-centered practices&nbsp;</li><li>Design innovative community integration activities (volunteering, outdoor, social) and support persons served on these community outings&nbsp;</li><li>Provide transportation of persons supported in Rise’ vans and buses as needed&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Float Requirements:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Provide case management support as necessary</li><li>Lead programming room</li><li>Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members at assigned locations while working as a float DSP (Direct Support Professional)&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain medication administration certification&nbsp;</li><li>Seamlessly fill in at multiple sites, some of which have persons served with high needs.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains a high level of flexibility and accepts a fluid work schedule to meet program needs.</li><li>Assist and mentor DSP levels 1 and 2 in training as needed</li></ul><p><br></p>",
