Your primary responsibility will be to operate a tanker truck, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road. You will be expected to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition for transport. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and cargo transported. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations and customer satisfaction. This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Valid Class A Commercial Driver&#39;s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a clean driving record.</li><li>Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in transporting hazardous materials.</li><li>Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.</li><li>Previous experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Class A CDL License (self-certified as a Non-Excepted Interstate driver with the state of issuance)</li><li>Clean MVR and PSP</li><li>Must be at least 23 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years of full-time verifiable tractor-trailer experience OR 21 years of age with 1 year of tractor-trailer experience IF a graduate from a Truck Driving School or 1 year of Military experience.</li><li>Stable work history</li><li>Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Delivery equipment&nbsp;ranges from 30-45&#39; open-top dump trailers (combination vehicles) across&nbsp;a regional footprint determined&nbsp;by management.</li><li>Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles by DOT requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.</li><li>Perform pre-and post-trip inspections.</li><li>Typical use of hand tools for basic repairs of company bins and equipment.</li><li>Maintenance of basic truck equipment and overall cleanliness of equipment.</li><li>Utilize electronic logging system for DOT driver logs and as otherwise required.</li><li>Maintain paperwork (contamination and service tickets, truck maintenance, etc.) and submit all documentation to the appropriate party.</li><li>Regularly communicate with customers and vendors to ensure seamless operations.</li><li>Communicate with the corporate office/operations team regularly for all service, equipment, and customer service-related issues.</li><li>Report all accidents and injuries immediately to the safety manager.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours based on seasonality, up to 60 hours in a 7-day week or 70 hours in 8 days.</li><li>Attend and participate in weekly safety calls, trainings, or briefings.</li><li>Basic usage of computer and cell phone for training, communication, and expense management</li></ul><p>The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of safe driving practices and the ability to operate a tanker truck under various conditions.
