The NOM provides leadership & operational oversight for our new neurosurgery unit. Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.</li>\n <li>Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Uses working knowledge of risk management concepts.</li>\n <li>Participates in Process Improvement activities as assigned.</li>\n <li>Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide nursing care needed as described in the unit/department’s policies and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).</li>\n <li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.</li>\n <li>May require advanced certifications based on the assigned patient population</li>\n <li>National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) within 2 years.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum two (2) years as a registered nurse in an acute care setting and one (1) year leadership experience. </li>\n <li>Experience as a Manager, Assistant Manager, or Charge Nurse in an inpatient, critical care unit is preferred.</li>\n</ul>",
