We’ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.</p> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<p>We’re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.</p> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<p><strong>Your day.</strong></p> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<p>As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor&nbsp;NICU&nbsp;you need to know how to:</p> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<ul> \n <li>Provide leadership, supervision and act as a role model on the unit&nbsp;</li> \n <li>Perform health teaching and health counseling</li> \n <li>Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.</li> \n <li>Execute delegated medical functions.</li> \n <li>Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.</li> \n <li>Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.</li> \n <li>Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.</li> \n <li>Serve as role model, mentor, and supervisor of staff (as identified by manager).</li> \n <li>Trouble shoot patient and unit/department problems.</li> \n <li>Assure appropriate staff assignments and schedules and seek resources as needed.</li> \n <li>Participate in a leadership role in performance improvement activities, new initiatives, and other unit functions.</li> \n <li>Participate with the manager in interviewing, hiring, and employee evaluation.</li> \n <li>Seek to identify and implement methods to improve financial outcomes.</li> \n <li>Communicate pertinent issues with manager, house supervisors, and physicians.</li> \n</ul> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<p><strong>Your experience.</strong></p> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<p>We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:</p> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<ul> \n <li>ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required</li> \n <li>Bachelor's of Science in Nursing strongly preferred</li> \n <li>Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required</li> \n <li>Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (with prior approval), required (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service)</li> \n <li>At least three (3)&nbsp; year of nursing experience in NICU is&nbsp;highly preferred</li> \n</ul> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<p><strong>Your next move.</strong></p> \n<p>&nbsp;</p> \n<p>Now that you know more about being a Clinical Nurse Supervisor NICU RN on our team we hope you’ll join us.
