Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled working Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Foreman to join our team. In this role, you will need to be willing to install and be familiar with the equipment, installation, and commissioning of low voltage systems and have at least journeyman-level installation and troubleshooting experience. Responsibilities Oversee the installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings. Assist with installations to move project along and/or close out a project. As a Foreman, provide direction and guidance to installation teams on-site and subcontractors, coordinate project activities, and communicate with the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Responsible for the execution of the installation project plan, including equipment delivery, troubleshooting, commissioning, and coordination with other trades to ensure successful project completion while exceeding customer expectations. Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives. Meet with code officials to arrange for building permits, address code issues, and discuss wiring and installation methods. Coordinate project activities with other trades at the work locations to optimize installation time. Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient installation to complete the scope. Assist customers on-site with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Attend OAC/Foreman meetings onsite. Effectively communicate project status to management. Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required. Industry-related NICET, and/or State Certification is preferred. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 5+ year running a construction project from start to finish. Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record. Must be proficient in the use and application of industry-related equipment, including MS Office. Must have excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers. Regular, reliable, predictable attendance. Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting up to 75lbs. Preferred Qualifications/Certifications: California Blue Card. Completion of an approved apprenticeship program (Skilled and Trained). Nicet Level I, II, III, or IV EST 4 Certification Why Join Us?
