Our SRE teams solve reliability, security, and usability at scale for our global fleet while maintaining Akamai's mission at the forefront of what we do: make life better for billions of people, billions of times a day.</p>\n<p><strong>Partner with the best</strong></p>\n<p>As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will help lead our SRE team who manage &amp; support application and infrastructure deployment, configuration, and change orchestration for Akamai Cloud.</p>\n<p>As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Managing and mentoring a team of talented leads and engineers.</li>\n <li>Defining requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence new designs and standards.</li>\n <li>Partnering with stakeholders to understand and shape the product roadmap.</li>\n <li>Aligning staff on technical and product innovation, collaborating on designs, understanding challenges, removing roadblocks, and ensuring the development of solutions.</li>\n <li>Organizing and operating in an Agile environment to drive SRE activities.</li>\n <li>Focusing on team goals and building collaborative and effective working relationships through establishing commitments, accountability, and trust.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Do what you love</strong></p>\n<p>To be successful in this role you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Have 10+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.</li>\n <li>Have proven experience leading and mentoring a team.</li>\n <li>Possess handson experience in a software or site reliability engineering role working with large scale distributed systems.</li>\n <li>Have experience with tools like SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for managing infrastructure at scale</li>\n <li>Be familiar with software development practices and product life cycles from concept to deployment and operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work in a way that works for you</strong></p>\n<p>FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world. The base salary for this position ranges from $132,400 - $275,000/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
