About this Role PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a Project Manager I (Substation) to support substation construction and maintenance projects across our service areas. This is an entry-level position designed for a motivated college graduate who is ready to learn, travel, and grow within the utility construction industry. The Project Manager I will work closely with experienced project managers, field supervisors, engineers, and clients to help plan, coordinate, and execute substation projects safely, on time, and within budget. This role offers hands-on exposure, training, and mentorship to build a strong foundation in project management. Salary Range: $85,000 - 115,000, based on experience What You'll Do As a Project Manager I, you will support the full life-cycle of substation projects by: Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities Supporting budget tracking, cost control, and basic financial reporting Coordinating materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs Communicating with internal teams, field crews, vendors, and clients Supporting job site documentation, reporting, and record-keeping Assisting with safety compliance, quality control, and company procedures Traveling to project sites as needed to support field operations Learning industry standards, substation construction practices, and project controls Taking on increasing responsibility as skills and experience grow What You'll Bring We’re looking for someone eager to learn and grow. Ideal candidates will bring: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or graduating soon) Strong desire to build a career in project management and utility construction Willingness and ability to travel as required by project needs Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork skills Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; project software a plus) Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both in an office setting and in the field Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area. PMP certification required within 60 days of hire.
