This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining medium and heavy trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Principal Accountabilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of major truck systems including diesel and gas engines, and ability to diagnose problems, make repairs, and perform preventive maintenance</li><li>Ability to operate a variety of equipment including dozers, backhoes, skid steers, backhoes and cranes</li><li>Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT inspection requirements and regulations</li><li>Ability to operate basic shop tools including welders, cutting torches, battery &amp; air tools</li><li>Ability to fabricate, cut, weld, construct and build with steel</li><li>Familiarity with the basics of Microsoft Word and Excel</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively with mechanics and management</li><li>Ability to keep a clean and organized workspace including but not limited to floor/workshop, toolbox, and equipment on hand</li><li>Understand and practice workplace safety</li></ul>",
