    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt; font-weight: bold\">Metallurgical Co-op/Intern </span><br><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Musselwhite Mine </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a <br>prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base. <br> <br>Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas <br>State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting and <br>development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific <br>Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part our larger South Carlin Complex which includes a prospective land <br>package. We recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern Ontario on Lake Opapimiskan, a gold mine <br>with more than 25 years of operating history. The addition of Musselwhite has allowed Orla to more than double our <br>gold production and provide a strategic entry into a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. We are custodians of <br>the assets we run and the environments in which we operate, and we are committed to fostering a culture of <br>excellence, care, and respect. </p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Purpose </span><br>The Musselwhite Mine Metallurgy department is currently seeking a Metallurgical Co-op/Intern for a 12-month work-term who wants to gain on-site mine and milling experience through a work term placement. <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span> <br>The Metallurgy department provides opportunities for students to gain exposure to optimization projects <br>involving unit operations such as Crushing, Grinding, Gravity, Leaching, Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP), Elution, and <br>Water Recycle. These experiences can provide insight into various aspects of gold production, including <br>safety management, project management, process automation, metallurgical test work, data analysis, and <br>engineering design. <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other responsibilities of the Metallurgy Student include, but are not limited to: </span><br>• Learning the milling process from the production floor <br>• Executing required metallurgical test work <br>• Computation of daily/monthly mill production reports <br>• Collection of samples from various stages of the milling circuit, and sample preparation <br>• Entering and analyzing data <br>• Contributing to ongoing process optimization <br>• Working closely with metallurgists, technicians, and operators </p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span> <br>• Preference is given to students with at least 2 years completed in a Chemical Engineering Technologist, <br>Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Equivalent Program <br>• Previous experience in a production environment is an asset <br>• Experience with Microsoft Office applications <br>• Flexible with day-to-day tasks <br>• Ability to work both independently and in a group setting <br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills </p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions: </span><br>• The Musselwhite Mine is a fly-in/fly-out operation. The schedule for this role is 14 days worked followed by 14 <br>days off, working 12 hour days. <br>• The work term is 12 months starting September 2026, with a possibility of extension to 16 months. <br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation: </span><br>• The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $30 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. </p>",
