(NACS) is an independent emergency medicine and ambulatory care practice group that contracts exclusively with Legacy Health to provide emergency medicine and urgent care professional services. Staffing multiple Legacy Health locations in both urban and community settings, NACS serves a wide variety of patient including trauma, pediatric, burn, and critical care patients.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-size: 15px; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">The Emergency Physician is a member of the Legacy Health Medical Staff and is responsible for patient care, consultation and collaboration with other providers, teaching and administrative duties, within the area of Emergency Services.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #222222; text-decoration: underline;\">Qualifications</span></strong></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Required</span></em></strong></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Licensure/Certification: Board eligible/certified in Emergency Medicine.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law and associated professional practice standards, the latter set forth as an addendum to the position description</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and deadlines</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Proficient in the use of computing hardware and software, including personal computing equipment, electronic medical record, word processing and spreadsheet software</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Regular and consistent attendance at work</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Current licensure as required by specific governing board(s)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Must have a current Oregon MD license prior to start date</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Registered with Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and authorized to prescribe medications according to the Oregon State Board of Medicine</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Clinical Activities</span></em></strong></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Examines, diagnoses and treats illness and injuries in the acute care setting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Provides immediate diagnosis and resuscitation care for life-threatening conditions, and directs the provision of such care in the prehospital setting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Prov<span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">ides diagnosis and care on the basis of medical history, physical examination and diagnostic tests.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Provides complete and current documentation of care delivered.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Provides supportive care to patients with serious medical and surgical conditions until the care of that patient can be assumed by the appropriate specialist for that condition.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Provides definitive or interim care for conditions that while not life-threatening, cause discomfort or risk of worsening to the extent that such care cannot be reasonably delayed until the next available access into a mor</span>e appropriate source for care.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">May provide training to medical and nursing personnel in aspects of resuscitations, including identification and treatment of cardiac, traumatic, and infectious emergencies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Adheres to hospital/departmental safety/environment of care education requirements; demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate levels of service to customers in specific age groups; supports and complies with hospital’s mission, vision, and values. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Administrative Activities</span></em></strong></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Participates in the development and implementation of standards, policies, protocols, and quality assurance guidelines for patients receiving emergency and urgent care services, together with the administrative team and the medical director.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Participates in selecting, training and evaluating personnel providing emergency and urgent care services.
