Applicants looking for part-time work (less than 35 hours per week) are encouraged to apply.*</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">POSITION SUMMARY: </span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">The Communicative Disorders Assistant will work under the supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologists to ensure coordinated delivery of rehabilitation services within an interdisciplinary, family-centered environment. Communicative Disorders Assistants will be responsible for implementing therapy programs; providing training to children, youth and their parents; and ensuring documentation is consistent with agency standards.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">JOB DUTIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare therapy and education materials to support screening, assessment and intervention </li>\n<li>Support the recommendations made by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists in the implementation of therapy programs</li>\n<li>Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in training of children, youth and their parents or other support personnel  </li>\n<li>Provide fun intervention and innovative therapy activities to target communication goals based on the child's interests and abilities </li>\n<li>Provide evidence-based therapy intervention while tracking progress with proper documentation </li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned <br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma</li>\n<li>Two years of recent related work experience in a pediatric/health care setting with children and youth with special needs</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of community resources and supports within the Districts of Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound, and Timiskaming</li>\n<li>Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment under the supervision of registered Speech-Language Pathologists </li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li>\n<li>Valid Ontario driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable vehicle  </li>\n<li>Computer competency and adaptable in the use of computer software for the purpose of screening, documentation, and communication </li>\n<li>Bilingual (English/French) is preferred </li>\n<li>Proof of COVID Vaccinations as required by the sector </li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">New Graduates are encouraged to apply! Il/Elle sera responsable de la mise en œuvre des programmes thérapeutiques, de la formation des enfants, des jeunes et de leurs parents, et de la conformité de la documentation aux normes de l’organisme.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">FONCTIONS DU POSTE :</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Préparer le matériel thérapeutique et pédagogique nécessaire au dépistage, à l'évaluation et à l'intervention.</li>\n<li>Appuyer les recommandations des orthophonistes superviseurs dans la mise en œuvre des programmes thérapeutiques.</li>\n<li>Assister l'orthophoniste dans la formation des enfants, des jeunes et de leurs parents ou autres intervenants.<br></li>\n<li>Proposer des interventions ludiques et des activités thérapeutiques innovantes ciblant les objectifs de communication en fonction des intérêts et des capacités de l'enfant.</li>\n<li>Dispenser des interventions thérapeutiques fondées sur des données probantes et assurer le suivi des progrès grâce à une documentation appropriée.<br></li>\n<li>Autres tâches assignées.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #202124; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diplôme d'assistant en troubles de la communication</li>\n<li>Deux années d'expérience récente pertinente en milieu pédiatrique ou de soins de santé auprès d'enfants et de jeunes ayant des besoins particuliers</li>\n<li>Bonne connaissance des ressources et des services de soutien communautaires dans les districts de Muskoka, Nipissing, Parry Sound et Timiskaming</li>\n<li>Capacité de travailler au sein d'une équipe interdisciplinaire sous la supervision d'orthophonistes agréés</li>\n<li>Excellentes aptitudes interpersonnelles et organisationnelles</li>\n<li>Excellentes aptitudes à la communication orale et écrite</li>\n<li>Permis de conduire de l'Ontario valide, preuve d'assurance et véhicule fiable</li>\n<li>Maîtrise de l'informatique et capacité d'adaptation aux logiciels informatiques pour le dépistage, la documentation et la communication</li>\n<li>Bilinguisme (anglais/français) souhaitable</li>\n<li>Preuve de vaccination contre la COVID-19, conformément aux exigences du secteur</li>\n<li>Les nouveaux diplômés sont invités à postuler!
