This role offers the opportunity to build a high-quality academic program while balancing administrative leadership and clinical practice.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Quick Facts</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Program Director for a new Emergency Medicine residency</li>\n <li><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Initially consulting, transitioning to 0.5 FTE leadership plus clinical practice</li>\n <li><strong>Schedule / Hours:</strong> Part-time administrative leadership with clinical shifts</li>\n <li><strong>Location</strong>: Lakewood Ranch, FL</li>\n <li><strong>Benefits</strong>: Clinical practice may include benefits such as health, dental, life, disability, PTO, and retirement plans</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the 2025 ACGME application and accreditation process for a new Emergency Medicine residency</li>\n <li>Build and develop the GME program infrastructure and curriculum</li>\n <li>Provide clinical care in the Emergency Department</li>\n <li>Facilitate resident education and mentoring</li>\n <li>Manage administrative, leadership, and operational duties required for program success</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Board certified by ABEM or AOBEM</li>\n <li>Minimum 3 years recent educational and/or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited program</li>\n <li>Prior Program Director or Associate Program Director experience strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong background in medical education, scholarly activity, and clinical excellence</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About the Organization & Community</strong>Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) is a Joint Commission-accredited, award-winning acute care hospital serving the region since 2004 with over 750 affiliated physicians and healthcare professionals.
