If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the smartest team, and the very latest technology, then this is the job for you!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>New Product Introduction (NPI) Responsibilities</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Working with the hardware design engineering teams, define an efficient test strategy for boards, modules, and systems. This encompasses the definition of test hardware, test fixtures, and embedded test resources within the product to improve testability</li>\n   <li>Provide level of effort estimates to the NPI product manager to support scheduling of development and factory introduction activity</li>\n   <li>Develop manufacturing test software within a LabVIEW/Teststand/Python environment</li>\n   <li>Actively participate in the definition and evolution of the manufacturing test software environment</li>\n  </ul><p>Factory Sustaining Responsibilities</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Support production activity within ST Engineering iDirect by helping to resolve production issues as they occur, with emphasis on understanding and resolving the root cause of the problem</li>\n   <li>identify opportunities for manufacturing test cost reduction, such as test yield improvements, and test time reductions, without impacting outgoing product quality</li>\n   <li>Work with our IT team to evaluate and improve our data collection, and test metric reporting capabilities</li>\n   <li>Represent Manufacturing test at Business Review meetings with teams at our manufacturing sites</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics, or equivalent experience<strong>EXPERIENCE: 5+ </strong>years of industry experience w/in manufacturing test engineering.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent</li>\n <li>5+years experience in the test engineering profession</li>\n <li>5+years experience developing manufacturing test software using Labview/Teststand </li>\n <li>Python Programming experience including instrument control, interfacing with SQL databases, and source management best practices</li>\n <li>Experience in hardware design an asset</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve desired results from general objectives</li>\n <li>Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work with contractors, and engineering teams worldwide</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills: listening, speaking, and in writing; able to express thoughts and concepts to a variety of people with different skill levels</li>\n <li>Experience with communication systems, radio/microwave frequency, and/or VSAT systems is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u> PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Has a ‘can do’ attitude - willing to dive into and take ownership of critical design issues.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.</li>\n <li>Must be able to analyze and solve technical problems.</li>\n <li>Must be able to look under the hood to appreciate the low level functionality of the tools.</li>\n <li>Must have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.</li>\n <li>Completes tasks in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Communicates effectively on a technical level.</li>\n <li>Can work under pressure in high visibility situations.</li>\n <li>Flexible - able to quickly adapt to changing conditions and make decisions based on incomplete data.</li>\n <li>While we emphasis the ability to work in a team, the candidate must also be effective as a single contributor as the situation warrants.</li>\n <li>Willing to take direction and follow sound software development processes.</li>\n</ul>",
