Job Summary The Incinerator Operator ensures the incinerators are operated in an efficient and compliant manner, that all waste containers are unloaded from vehicles, that vehicles are properly decontaminated, supplies and waste containers are properly staged for weighing, scanning and processing. Performs all duties in accordance with all applicable safety, environmental compliance and Stericycle policies and procedures. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the incinerator waste feed rate and blending is performed properly to maintain correct incinerator temperatures and to maximize throughput. Monitor incinerator and steam systems (where applicable), ash removal system, ash quality, and Air Pollution Control system parameters to include but not limited to: temperatures, pH, absorber flow rate, reagent feed rates, differential pressures and other system parameters to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations are maintained. Report any issues identified to shift Lead. Complete all necessary logging and reporting documents neatly and accurately and file according to procedure. Perform additional plant tasks including, but not limited to: Operate vehicles, including but not limited to, on yard movement of trucks, tractors, trailers, and roll-offs. Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts or similar equipment as part of unloading and loading vehicles for processing or transfer. Stage waste containers for weighing and scanning in the SteriWorks system. Weigh and scan waste containers into the SteriWorks system for proper recordkeeping purposes. Empty waste containers into process bins/receptacles, decant containers for transfer and/or load waste containers onto conveyor system for incineration. Place reusable containers on wash line for decontamination. Operate reusable container wash unit to properly decontaminate reusable containers. Remove clean containers, inspect for serviceability and compliance and stage for loading onto assigned vehicles for reuse. Decontaminate cargo area of vehicles and ensure vehicle cargo areas do not have free liquid on the floors. Load reusable containers and other service supplies on vehicles as assigned. Ensure work area is clean and free of debris; clean up all spills immediately. Perform housekeeping assignments and all other duties as required or requested. III. Qualifications A. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (accredited) equivalent 1 year of Experience, preferably in plant operations environment PIT Operations (power-propelled trucks such as forklifts is a PLUS) Some knowledge and experience with industrial mechanics (hands-on technical expertise with problem solving and safety awareness such as LOTO) B. Job Summary<br><br>The Incinerator Operator ensures the incinerators are operated in an efficient and compliant manner, that all waste containers are unloaded from vehicles, that vehicles are properly decontaminated, supplies and waste containers are properly staged for weighing, scanning and processing. Performs all duties in accordance with all applicable safety, environmental compliance and Stericycle policies and procedures.<br><br>II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Ensure the incinerator waste feed rate and blending is performed properly to maintain correct incinerator temperatures and to maximize throughput.</li><li>Monitor incinerator and steam systems (where applicable), ash removal system, ash quality, and Air Pollution Control system parameters to include but not limited to: temperatures, pH, absorber flow rate, reagent feed rates, differential pressures and other system parameters to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations are maintained. Report any issues identified to shift Lead.</li><li>Complete all necessary logging and reporting documents neatly and accurately and file according to procedure.</li><li>Perform additional plant tasks including, but not limited to:</li><li>Operate vehicles, including but not limited to, on yard movement of trucks, tractors, trailers, and roll-offs.</li><li>Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts or similar equipment as part of unloading and loading vehicles for processing or transfer.</li><li>Stage waste containers for weighing and scanning in the SteriWorks system.</li><li>Weigh and scan waste containers into the SteriWorks system for proper recordkeeping purposes.</li><li>Empty waste containers into process bins/receptacles, decant containers for transfer and/or load waste containers onto conveyor system for incineration.</li><li>Place reusable containers on wash line for decontamination.</li><li>Operate reusable container wash unit to properly decontaminate reusable containers. Remove clean containers, inspect for serviceability and compliance and stage for loading onto assigned vehicles for reuse.</li><li>Decontaminate cargo area of vehicles and ensure vehicle cargo areas do not have free liquid on the floors. Load reusable containers and other service supplies on vehicles as assigned.</li><li>Ensure work area is clean and free of debris; clean up all spills immediately.</li><li>Perform housekeeping assignments and all other duties as required or requested.</li></ul><p><br>III.
