          "text": "<ul><li>Create mechanical designs and drawings mechanical systems for use in rugged environments using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.</li><li>Support the full design life cycle from requirements definition, concept through to successful production ramp-up, including support for prototype procurement, assembly, design verification and qualification testing, and on-going manufacturing support.</li><li>Review part and assembly drawings and parts lists in support of the release of design activities.</li><li>Work with other mechanical designers and engineers, system engineers and human factor engineers in the development of installation designs of military vehicles.</li><li>&#xa0;Work closely with other design professionals, systems engineers, Supply chain management personnel, and manufacturing engineers to ensure a smooth flow of information throughout a project.</li><li>Perform 3D scanning and process data in support of vehicle platforms.</li><li>Perform vehicle cable routing per Company Standards</li><li>Responsible for the successful completion of project goals according to General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada (GDMS-C) standard processes and procedures.</li><li>Support Program management in the creation of reports for technical reviews and task process updates.</li><li>Travel to Department of National Defence (DND) locations in Canada to review vehicles for installation design, AND to install the final design for system qualification and verification.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p>Education and Experience&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma</li><li>2 to 3 years of related experience.&#xa0;</li></ul><p>Familiarity with the following areas:</p><ul><li>Design for vibration and shock environments.</li><li>Design for harsh climatic environments, corrosive environments.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Design of sheet metal, machined and welded parts.&#xa0;</li><li>Familiarity with Siemens NX or other comparable computer aided design (CAD) software.</li><li>Familiarity to Commercial or Military specifications.</li><li>Familiarity with ASME drafting standards.</li><li>Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred</li></ul><p>It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.
