    "description": "<p><span>Based in Birmingham, Worcester, and Droitwich, Ballards is a progressive firm of chartered accountants helping businesses and private clients achieve stronger financial performance through integrated tax, audit, and consultancy expertise.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Due to continued growth within our IT &amp; Digital Transformation team, we are seeking a Director of Technology Consulting to play a leading role in the next phase of our consulting practice expansion.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Reporting to the Partner leading the team, this is a senior leadership position combining strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. You will act as the quality gate across the practice, ensuring consistently high standards across all client engagements and serving as the final sign-off point for key deliverables, including board reports, technical assessments and IT due diligence outputs. You will also provide structured oversight across engagements, monitoring timelines, budgets, risks and delivery against agreed outcomes</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span></p>\n<p>Alongside practice leadership, you will lead and deliver complex consulting assignments end-to-end, working directly with senior stakeholders to shape technology strategy and drive digital transformation. Our core service lines include Fractional CIO / IT Director support, systems specification and selection, IT Due Diligence (ITDD), and project and programme leadership.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>While not a pure sales role, you will play an important part in strengthening client relationships, identifying follow-on opportunities and supporting the Partner in securing new work through credibility, insight and outstanding delivery.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Key responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acting as the quality assurance lead and final sign-off for major client deliverables</li>\n<li>Maintaining delivery standards, governance and best practice across the consulting team</li>\n<li>Overseeing engagement performance, including budgets, timelines and risk management</li>\n<li>Leading and delivering client engagements across digital and technology transformation</li>\n<li>Coaching and developing consultants within the team</li>\n<li>Growing existing client relationships and shaping follow-on engagements</li>\n<li>Supporting proposal development and contributing to winning new work</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About You</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Significant experience in a technology consulting leadership role</li>\n<li>Strong real-world experience delivering complex projects and programmes (such as ERP implementations), with clear governance and stakeholder management</li>\n<li>A track record of producing high-quality executive reports and presenting to senior stakeholders</li>\n<li>Experience leading teams and acting as a quality assurance or sign-off point for deliverables</li>\n<li>Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, evidence-based recommendations</li>\n<li>Outstanding verbal communication skills, able to challenge constructively, facilitate workshops and influence at all levels</li>\n<li>Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to scope engagements effectively, manage expectations and deliver measurable value</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the rewards</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays</li>\n<li>Career progression</li>\n<li>Electric Car scheme</li>\n<li>Cycle to Work Scheme</li>\n<li>Life Assurance</li>\n<li>Group Personal Pension Plan</li>\n<li>Flexible Holiday Purchase Scheme</li>\n<li>Enhanced Family Pay – maternity, paternity, parental, and compassionate leave</li>\n<li>Employee Assistance Programme – 24/7 confidential helpline as well as online support</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>",
