We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members. • Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team of experts and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in the delivery of primary health care services and patient care management.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates competence in the skills necessary to carry out assigned duties. </li>\n <li>Administer medications by all routes.</li>\n <li>Apply Nursing Process (Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Intervention and Evaluation – within licensure guidelines)</li>\n <li>Act as a liaison with patients, family and providers consistently demonstrating smooth and efficient telephone communication when covering provider call and scheduling patient appointments.</li>\n <li>Obtain complete history regarding health problems according to protocols.</li>\n <li>Document accurate information regarding health concerns and/or condition from patient or family member.</li>\n <li>Telephone Triage by providing and documenting advice for home care of illness/condition; conducting follow-up phone calls regarding patient's health and progress as necessary.</li>\n <li>Ability to assess urgency of condition for immediate attention regarding illness related calls and assign priority.</li>\n <li>Placement of urinary catheters per license.</li>\n <li>Placement of IV per license.</li>\n <li>Provide patient education regarding health maintenance and medical illnesses following accepted Teach-back method per protocols and guidelines. </li>\n <li>Provide appropriate and timely documentation in the patient’s electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes. </li>\n <li>Provide information to appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. health department).</li>\n <li>Evaluate clinical skills and practice of clinical care team.</li>\n <li>Supervision of delegated duties to License Practical Nurse and Certified Medical Assistants on approved clinical protocols.</li>\n <li>Facilitate and support relationships between providers (e.g. within clinic, referring) and with ancillary services.</li>\n <li>Understand inpatient and outpatient specialty procedures. Responsible for compliance with precertification requirements</li>\n <li>Thoroughly understand anatomical impact (phases/stages, thresholds) for clinic specialty services including co-morbidities and influences impacting patient care and treatment.</li>\n <li>Thoroughly understand testing (lab and procedures) values and relationship to patient status with accountability to take next steps, as appropriate to scope and licensure. </li>\n <li>Be aware of what is happening in clinic/department and the organization by attending clinic/department meetings, reading emails and regularly checking information on the organization’s intranet site.</li>\n <li>Meet the department work schedule.</li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, Safety and Risk Management guidelines.</li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with Personnel policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Monitor environmental conditions in order to secure protected health information. </li>\n <li>Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.</li>\n <li>Behave in a manner consistent with all Compliance and HIPAA policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations. </li>\n <li>Balance team and individual responsibilities; be open and objective to other’s views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; and put the success of the team above own interests.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as requested by Clinic Administrator to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the office</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurses</li>\n <li>Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Registered Nurse</li>\n <li>Mandatory Reporter certification CPR certification</li>\n <li>Meets educational/competency requirements per policy. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>",
