Assuming the role of a leader and taking charge of situations is also encouraged.   Prepare Air Export shipments by working closely with Vendors, immediate counterparts in the Air Export Department, Air Gateway, and region.  A summary of the process would be scheduling pickups from Shippers both verbally or email, obtaining correct paperwork to export, reviewing, and perfecting, US Export Compliance, managing email traffic within a timely manner and ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in Customer SOP Maintaining positive relationships with our customers, both USA / Internationally. Meeting customer service standards. Dispatching and overseeing all customer pickups. Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow. Support with courier shipments through 3rd party portals for GAM customer. Responsible for daily updating and monitoring of various reporting tools and work board. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system, On-going commitment to quality and data integrity.  Assist the Air Export manager, supervisors and leads with various Excel data logging and document creations. Constant self-development. Understand department process flow and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity. Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.  Adhere to the company’s 10 cultural attributes:  Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor, and Visionary. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to internal peers at different levels as well as external customers and vendors. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Familiar with standard email programs. A good understanding of Expeditors’ Products and Services-will be trained on Understanding of documentation process, a plus-will be trained on Strong attention to detail.  Abilities: Ability to work without constant supervision within a fast-paced work environment. Self-motivation and attention to detail required. Assuming the role of a leader and taking charge of situations is also desired. Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results. Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
