This role is responsible for overseeing the construction, installation, and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure supporting a P-25 digital Land Mobile Radio (LMR) network for public safety communications.</p><p><br></p><p>The Telecom Installation Lead will ensure that all construction and installation activities are executed in alignment with engineering designs, project schedules, and regulatory requirements. Serving as a key liaison between government stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams, this role translates system designs into fully operational communications infrastructure across multiple sites and islands.</p><p><br></p><p>This position is contingent upon contract award.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><em>Construction &amp; Installation Leadership</em></p><ul><li>Lead and oversee all telecommunications construction and installation activities, including towers, antennas, radio systems, cabling, and power infrastructure</li><li>Ensure all work aligns with approved engineering designs, RF plans, and technical specifications</li><li>Monitor contractor performance, safety compliance, and quality standards</li></ul><p><em>Project Coordination &amp; Stakeholder Management</em></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary liaison between GVI/BIT, contractors, subcontractors, and technical teams</li><li>Support construction bid evaluation and contractor selection</li><li>Lead site walks, construction meetings, and progress reviews</li><li>Track schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables across multiple sites</li></ul><p><em>System Deployment &amp; Performance</em></p><ul><li>Oversee installation, integration, and testing of telecommunications systems, including LMR, microwave, and network components</li><li>Ensure systems meet performance requirements for coverage, signal quality, and interoperability</li><li>Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during deployment</li></ul><p><em>Quality, Compliance &amp; Reporting</em></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with FCC regulations, P-25 standards, local requirements, and safety protocols</li><li>Review and approve key deliverables (e.g., installation reports, antenna testing results)</li><li>Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates on progress, risks, and performance</li></ul>",
