    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Are you ready to dive into an exciting job? &nbsp;Join our Aquatics team today!</strong></span></p><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">We are currently looking to hire for the following shifts; weekdays and openers.&nbsp;</span></strong></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></span></p><ol><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintains active surveillance of the pool area while pool is in operation. &nbsp;Performs lifeguard duties with Lifeguard II and/or Head Lifeguard.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures. Completes related reports as required.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants and other staff while enforcing pool rules and regulations.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area. Maintains accurate records as required by the YMCA and/or the state Health Department code.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Performs safety and program equipment checks and ensures equipment is available as needed.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Checks the pool for hazardous conditions when arriving.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Performs: chemical testing, bathing loads, and water conditions, as required, and documents results and takes appropriate action.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Completes accident/incident reports for any occurrences while on duty.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Attends all staff meetings and a minimum of 10 hours of in-service training per calendar year.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">This position will adhere to policies and procedures related to boundaries and supervision with consumers. &nbsp;Manage high risk activities and follow mandated reporter requirements.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure the success of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County.</li></ol><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></p><ol><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Minimum age of 15.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Certifications: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/AED, and First Aid. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Certification: Current YMCA Lifeguard or American Red Cross Lifeguard.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Ability to demonstrate (pre-hire) and maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Completion of required trainings.</li></ol><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></span></p><ol><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Hear noises and distress signals in the aquatic environment, including in the water and anywhere around the zone of responsibility.
