    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Tier One Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer to perform LAN and WiFi monitoring and support for our US Government client.</li>\n <li>This hybrid Contract-to-Hire position will be located in Raleigh, NC.  </li>\n <li>The work schedule: Saturday thru Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST with occasional on-call rotation and after-hours work.</li>\n <li>SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Troubleshoot and resolve LAN and WiFi connectivity issues, including, but not limited to, switches, routers, and cabling.</li>\n <li>Resolve Trouble tickets generated through ServiceNow</li>\n <li>Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.</li>\n <li>Assist Tier 1 support in diagnosing and resolving LAN-related problems.</li>\n <li>Provide Tier 2 support for LAN-related incidents and service requests escalated from Tier 1.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Tier 3 LAN Engineers for complex issue resolution.</li>\n <li>Perform duties in support of the mission as directed by company’s Management.</li>\n <li>Typically performs all functional duties independently.</li>\n <li>Provide assistance of more senior positions and/or perform functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and prioritize and manage your own workload.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then 4 additional years of related experience is required.</li>\n <li>5+ years of applicable network experience and support.</li>\n <li>Expertise in LAN protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol).</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills – Layer 1 and 2.</li>\n <li>Understanding of LAN security standards and methodologies.</li>\n <li>Proven experience with LAN networking and other wireless solutions such as Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Juniper Mist, and Fortinet.</li>\n <li>Experience with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Teams.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.</li>\n <li>Continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and industry developments in the LAN Engineering field. </li>\n <li>Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.</li>\n <li>Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Status Green Card holder.</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.</li>\n <li>Must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.</li>\n <li>Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)</li>\n</ul>",
