No matter what we are hired to do, satisfying members&rsquo; needs and wants is everyone&rsquo;s first and most important responsibility.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ol><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Instructs sports classes in accordance with YMCA guidelines (i.e. keeping students safe, challenged, and actively engaged, maintain a safe learning environment, and enforcing gym and field rules &amp; policies), having prepared lesson plans accordingly.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourage parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Active support of our DEIB statement and putting into practice our commitment to equity, diversity, belonging and inclusion. &nbsp;Continue to think about strategies to support diversity goals of the organization.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Conveys information on sports programs and schedules; and as appropriate refers students and parents to other programs.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.)</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.</li></ol><ol start=\"8\"><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Organizes and puts away needed class equipment.
