Professional application of the principles, theories, and techniques of medical technology are used to produce consistently reliable test results which aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Trains other personnel and provides input in job evaluations. Assist laboratory administrative director in performance of general lab duties to include validation, quality control, nursing and physician support.</p><p style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>&nbsp;</p><h2 style='margin-top:.5pt;margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;margin-left:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><u>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</u></h2><div style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><ol style=\"margin-bottom:0cm;list-style-type: decimal;margin-left: 26px;\"><li style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>Associate&rsquo;s Degree in Medical Technology or <span style=\"line-height:100%;font-size:13px;\">meets the educational requirements as outlined in Florida Licensure Administrative rule 64B3-5.004 for a laboratory technician.</span></li><li style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>State of Florida licensed as a clinical laboratory technician in any or all the areas of Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Immunohematology and&nbsp;Microbiology</li><li style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>A minimum of two (2) years of full-time technical experience in licensed specialties to include test interpretation, quality control and instrument maintenance unless hired in a training&nbsp;position.</li><li style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>American Heart Association current BLS certification required.</li><li style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>Strong customer service skills and ability to multi-task while working in a high-volume work environment is required.</li><li style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>Able to work effectively with team members, supervisors, patients and their families to accomplish team goals.</li><li style='margin:0cm;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>Ability to plan, organize and perform job associated tasks to completion.
