About the Opportunity As the Head Softball Coach, you will be responsible for all aspects of coaching a collegiate softball team. Prepare NAIA, USCAA and/or NCAA, institutional scholarship award forms and submitting signed contracts for scholarships. Evaluate talent in current and prospective student-athletes. Organize and conduct a strength conditioning program. Provide compliance director with freshman and returning player’s information to complete eligibility form. Coordinate team meetings, athletic study halls for Women’s Softball athletes, strength and conditioning work outs, etc. Monitor the academic progress, retention rates and graduation rates of Women’s Softball players Responsible for discipline and conduct of student-athletes participating in Women’s Softball . Remain current and adhere to all Institutional, NCAA and/or NAIA/USCAA rules Responsible for annual inventories and preparation for equipment purchases according to state purchasing policies. Responsible for all travel arrangements and taking care of travel expenses according to state policies Fundraising responsibilities and working with outside groups to receive funds for athletics and Women’s Softball. Maintain a competitive Women’s Softball program. Responsible for recruiting quality student athletes that meets the criteria established by the Athletic Administration. Responsible for field maintenance and preparation as assigned. Responsible for event management as assigned. Additional administrative responsibility based upon skills and qualifications. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Excellent computer skills.
