Paid time off is earned according to the local policy and increases with the length of employment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Click HERE to discover how we empower team members to grow, thrive, and advance in their careers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>WE LOVE OUR WORK.</h2>\n<p>Ameristar Perks:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Day 1 Benefits (medical, dental and vision)</li>\n <li>Retirement benefits</li>\n <li>Grave shift differential</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement</li>\n <li>Required certification is covered by Ameristar.</li>\n <li>Free uniforms and necessary tools are provided</li>\n <li>Team member incentive reward program</li>\n <li>Anniversary and perfect attendance programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Job Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a basic understanding of maritime operation.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in paralleling the generators and operation of Emergency Generator.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in operation and use of lifesaving equipment on board the vessel.</li>\n <li>Must be able to handle stressful situations where efficiency and time are of urgency.</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to operate and utilize mooring winches.</li>\n <li>Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.</li>\n <li>Assists in building interface or accessory equipment as needed.</li>\n <li>Responds to guest requests for maintenance assistance in order to provide courteous, timely, and expert service.</li>\n <li>Performs basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, and cables.</li>\n <li>Performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts.</li>\n <li>Keeps workshop orderly by cleaning toolboxes, putting always tools and parts, and straightening electrical storage area.</li>\n <li>Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>BRING US YOUR BEST.</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum two (2) years of facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.</li>\n <li>Must have working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and/or finishing trades.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of paint mixing techniques and airless spraying equipment strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Must have knowledge of materials and installation techniques related to carpet, carpet tiles, stone flooring materials, and hardwood floors.</li>\n <li>Must be skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).</li>\n <li>Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.</li>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.</li>\n <li>Ability to safely and properly use all equipment associated with the position.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work areas.</li>\n <li>CSO certification is a mandatory requirement for this position and the cost will be fully covered by Ameristar.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>STAY IN THE GAME.
