We specialize in programs for students with behavioral/emotional issues, pre-school handicapped and learners on the Autism Spectrum.</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Aptos\",sans-serif;'><br></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Aptos\",sans-serif;'><strong>Job Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Aptos\",sans-serif;'><br></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Aptos\",sans-serif;'><u>Develops lesson plans and classroom learning activities</u></p><ul style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in;\" type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Works to achieve the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and district educational goals and objectives by teaching skills in comprehensive health and physical education using curriculum and instructional materials adopted by the board of education.</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Works cooperatively with other health and physical education teachers and regular classroom teachers in planning an effective comprehensive school health program.</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Participates in curriculum development activities, faculty meetings and school-level planning.</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Sets specific objectives wherever possible in lesson preparation and weekly lesson plans and carries through presentation to effectively achieve these objectives.</li></ul><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Aptos\",sans-serif;'><u>Instruction and pupil contact</u></p><ul style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in;\" type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Provides health, safety, family life education and/or physical education instruction as assigned.</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Provides appropriate safety instruction and makes safety checks on equipment and field areas to ensure the overall safety of pupils.
