The Caring Place provides emergency shelter, residential programs, job training, education &amp; computer literacy classes, healthcare, transitional housing, permanent housing, employment opportunities for homeless men, women, and children as well as programs for &ldquo;at-risk&rdquo; youth.</p><p>We are currently seeking a FT Guest Services Driver at Broward Outreach Centers in Hollywood, FL,</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>JOB SUMMARY</u></strong></p><p>The <strong>Guest Services Driver (GSD)</strong> reports to the <strong>Guest Services Supervisor (GSS)&nbsp;</strong>and<strong>&nbsp;</strong>will drive a van or other assigned vehicle to transport passengers, and pick up and deliver necessary items requested by supervisor for agency business. &nbsp;May be asked to monitor and supervise residents and facility in the absence of Guest Services Assistant or Guest Services Supervisor. &nbsp;Will handle emergencies according to policies and procedures and notify management of unusual incidents at occurrence or immediately thereafter.</p><p><strong><u>CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Conducts routine &quot;Vehicle Check List,&quot; at the beginning and close of each day and promptly reports all mechanical or potential problems to Guest Services Supervisor &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Follows Mission policy for accidents, injuries, breakdowns, overheating, etc. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Transports clients and designated personnel to and from approved appointments utilizing safest, shortest route and takes appropriate steps necessary to assure the safety of all passengers &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Delivers and picks up purchased or donated items. &nbsp; Drives vehicle to other destinations as assigned&nbsp;</li><li>Assists passengers as needed to enter or exit vehicles&nbsp;</li><li>Makes trips to Central Office as directed by supervisor, and delivers mail between locations &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Drives safely and obeys all traffic rules while abiding by the Mission&rsquo;s safety policy &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Maintains a well-groomed (clothes, hygiene, etc.) appearance &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains a clean, neat vehicle at all times, and washes vehicle(s) weekly &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Monitors and supervises residents and overnight guests throughout the center when acting as staff on duty &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Assists with and/or facilitates orientation for new residents as directed by Supervisor &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>When acting as staff on duty, follows all required procedures and guidelines. &nbsp;Serves as role model for residents in areas such as hygiene, manner of dress, demeanor and attitude</li><li>Will lead and/or participate in devotions, prayers, or other ministry activities ex. outreach events</li><li>Must be in agreement with and sign The Caring Place Statement of Faith</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong><u>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Requires a High School diploma or GED</li><li>Valid State of Florida driver&rsquo;s license (4 pt. max)</li><li>Must be a safe, patient and conscientious driver with a satisfactory motor vehicle report (preferably with no points) and be familiar with Broward County</li><li>Previous driving experience in transporting passengers is a plus</li><li>Must have the ability to work with a diverse population</li><li>Must demonstrate patience and understanding of homelessness and addictions, and be able to interact with residents with compassion and professionalism</li><li>Must be able to read and follow maps</li><li>Must be able to read, write and carry out oral and written directions in English</li><li>Conversational Spanish and Creole highly desirable</li></ul><p><em>&nbsp;</em><strong><u>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to sit for extended periods of time</li><li>Must also be able to see, hear and speak, in order to interact with staff and the general public</li><li>Must also be able to move around as needed to perform essential job duties</li></ul><p><strong><u>PERKS AND BENEFITS</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Day off for Birthday/Work Anniversary</li><li>Employee Discounts</li><li>Holidays (12)</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, GAP and Health Savings Account)</li><li>Company Paid Life insurance</li><li>403b Retirement Plan with 3% match</li></ul><p>Only qualified candidates will be considered.
