This role oversees project delivery efforts across a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, effective resource utilization, and timely delivery of high-quality outcomes. This role collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders and technical teams to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and change.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in project coordination and business analysis who are ready to take full ownership of project delivery. It requires a proactive leader who can manage multiple projects, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in delivery practices. This role focuses on delivering value through structured project management practices, cross-functional coordination, and proactive risk management.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Details:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Full time permanent position, Monday-Friday. 40 hours/week</li>\n <li>This role can be based in Sherwood Park or Calgary Alberta, Canada or Houston, Texas, US in a hybrid (Office / Work-from-home) capacity. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Project Management and Execution:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead infrastructure projects involving networks, servers, cloud platforms, data centers, telecommunications, and end-user computing environments.</li>\n <li>Manage deployment and upgrade initiatives involving firewalls, switches, routers, wireless infrastructure, storage, virtualization, and cloud services.</li>\n <li>Coordinate infrastructure modernization, capacity expansion, and technology refresh programs.</li>\n <li>Lead the full lifecycle of IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.</li>\n <li>Define project scopes, deliverables, schedules, and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.</li>\n <li>Track and manage project progress against objectives, resolving blockers and escalating issues where necessary.</li>\n <li>Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with organizational standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Team and Resource Coordination:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate activities across infrastructure, network, cloud, cybersecurity, and vendor teams.</li>\n <li>Support resource planning and scheduling for maintenance windows, cutovers, and infrastructure deployments.</li>\n <li>Coordinate the work of cross-functional teams, including internal IT staff, business users, and third-party vendors.</li>\n <li>Support resource planning and task assignment across multiple concurrent initiatives.</li>\n <li>Provide guidance to junior project team members, including Specialists and Coordinators.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder Management and Communication:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicate infrastructure project impacts, outage windows, deployment schedules, and service transition activities.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with business stakeholders to minimize operational disruption during infrastructure changes.</li>\n <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.</li>\n <li>Prepare and deliver project updates, dashboards, and reports for business and technical audiences.</li>\n <li>Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately throughout the project lifecycle.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Delivery Process and Continuous Improvement</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support infrastructure standardization, operational maturity, and technology lifecycle management initiatives.</li>\n <li>Promote infrastructure design and implementation practices that improve scalability, reliability, and resiliency.</li>\n <li>Apply appropriate project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) based on project context.</li>\n <li>Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and implement best practices for project execution.</li>\n <li>Participate in retrospectives and knowledge-sharing activities to support continuous improvement.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Risk and Issue Management</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage risks related to system availability, network performance, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and operational continuity.</li>\n <li>Coordinate mitigation and contingency planning for critical infrastructure implementations and cutovers.</li>\n <li>Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.</li>\n <li>Maintain risk logs and issue trackers; escalate critical concerns to senior leadership as needed.</li>\n <li>Implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other duties as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including networking, firewalls, routing, switching, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, and telecommunications.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM), disaster recovery, high availability, and infrastructure operations practices.</li>\n <li>Experience coordinating infrastructure deployments, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.</li>\n <li>Strong project management skills and experience leading IT project delivery from end to end.</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational and time management skills; capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.</li>\n <li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in project documentation, reporting, and dashboard creation.</li>\n <li>Ability to identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of IT systems, workflows, and business process improvement practices.</li>\n <li>Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>EDUCATION: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree; Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business preferred.
