Spanning a wide range of industries such as Medical, Lighting, Renewable Energy, HVACR, Appliances &amp; Electronics, Hazardous Locations, Industrial Equipment, Life Safety &amp; Security, IT &amp; Telecom Equipment, Intertek's global network of laboratories employ world-class experts in their fields who deliver quality, accurate testing and certification that continually exceeds our clients' expectations and helps to clear a path for their product's success.</p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>This <strong>Electrical Product Inspector&nbsp;</strong>position is responsible for performing inspections at manufacturing facilities to ensure that products are being manufactured in accordance with established standards and specifications created by Intertek. <strong>Although this is a part-time position, to meet the travel requirements of the role, the candidate will not be able to hold a second job.</strong></p><p>Location: <strong>This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.</strong></p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information:</strong></p><p>The base wage or salary range for this position is $30&nbsp;to $42 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons. &nbsp;As this is a part-time casual position, it is not eligible for additional benefits.</p><p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Plan and conduct surveillance inspections in accordance with scheduling requirements.</li><li>Document manufacturer’s production and quality processes; review required production tests, including methods, equipment used and calibration of equipment.</li><li>Inspect ETL Listed products, subassemblies and components with respect to the Certification Documents; review ETL label inventory and control; review non-compliances issued as a result of previous inspections and document unresolved issues; select samples as directed.</li><li>Document compliance and non-compliance found during the inspection and advise clients on proper resolution.</li><li>Complete and submit Follow-up Service Inspection Report for each client inspected.</li><li>Communicate information between facility representatives and Intertek personnel.</li><li>Maintain expenses within given guidelines.</li><li>Perform other work as required.</li></ul><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma/GED <strong>AND </strong>10+ years directly related experience <strong>OR</strong> Associate degree in related area <strong>AND </strong>5+ years directly related experience <strong>OR </strong>Bachelor’s degree in related area <strong>AND </strong>1+ year directly related experience</li><li>Experience in electronic/electrical product manufacturing/testing or quality/reliability testing, engineering, electrical inspection, manufacturing or quality control</li><li>Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable driving record</li><li>Ability to travel as business needs dictate, up to 75%</li><li>Must have access to the internet</li><li>Ability to lift up to 40 pounds</li><li>Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time</li><li>Ability to climb stairs and ladders</li><li><strong>This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.</strong></li><li><strong>Applicants will be required to complete an I-9 to verify their eligibility to work in the U.S.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with the “National Electric Code” and/or product compliance requirements to nationally recognized safety standards</li><li>Knowledge of Quality Control methods (ISO 9000/14000, QS 9000, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen &amp; Statistical Process Control)</li></ul><p><strong>Intertek: Total Quality.
