  "key_responsibilities": "<ul><li><!--block-->Coordinate and manage all lifeguard activities including lifeguard breaks and rotations.</li><li><!--block-->Coordinate and manage all swim lessons activities including directing parents and participants, and supervise programs for quality and safety.</li><li><!--block-->Enforce pool rules, policies, and procedures. Handle issues as they arise in a professional manner.</li><li><!--block-->Conduct and participate in all branch safety and quality drills.</li><li><!--block-->Provide staff with coaching and feedback on their performance.</li><li><!--block-->Responsible for regularly testing pool chemicals to ensure they comply with state codes and regulations. &nbsp;</li><li><!--block-->Recognize emergencies or potential incidents and address them immediately.</li><li><!--block-->Know and activate the branch and pool EAP when needed.</li><li><!--block-->Perform assists or rescues as needed.</li><li><!--block-->Provide care such as, CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen as needed.</li><li><!--block-->Complete incident reports in a timely and effective manner.</li><li><!--block-->Ensure a clean and safe pool environment at all times.</li><li><!--block-->Maintain a clear and consistent line of communication with all supervisors.</li><li><!--block-->Attend all required monthly and yearly in-service trainings.</li><li><!--block-->Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand each individual’s goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.</li><li><!--block-->Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals at all times.</li><li><!--block-->Other duties as assigned. &nbsp;</li></ul>",
