    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><br><br>\n  &nbsp;</p>\n<div>\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<p>Position:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Head Start Lead Teacher</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Starting Date:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; August 2026-2027 (187-day calendar)</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Salary Range:</p>\n<p>$35,000-40,000 depending on education and experience.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Hours:&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Mon.-Fri. 8:00-4:00</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Duties:&nbsp; To facilitate the social, emotional, mental, and physical development of children.&nbsp; To be a team member in developing learning centers and lesson plans to focus on children’s individual needs. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Organize the classroom environment and plan hands on activities to promote language, social/emotional, fine motor, and gross motor, cognitive and self-help development.&nbsp; Utilize equipment and materials to carry out program objectives which include art, literature, music, self-awareness, motor and science.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Relate to high-risk families and their children.&nbsp; Develop communication skills to ensure appropriate quality services to parents and staff.&nbsp; Develop professional relationships with families and encourage them to participate in the program.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Physical Functions:</u></strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Bending/stooping/squatting</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lifting up to 40lbs-moving furniture or lifting children</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sitting in 12” chairs and sitting on the floor for 15–20-minute spans with legs folded.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Must be able to quickly move around the classroom or playground to ensure safety of children-including being able to get up from a sitting position quickly to assist a child.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Model physical activities for children such as running, hopping, jumping, skipping, galloping, throwing/catching/dribbling balls, etc.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><u>Qualifications:</u></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\">1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; At lease an associate degree in Early Childhood.&nbsp; Prefer bachelor’s degree in early childhood.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\">2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience working in an early childhood classroom – Head Start specific experience is preferred.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\">3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prefer bi-lingual English/Spanish candidate-able to read and write in both languages also.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\">4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Pre-employment physical and TB skin test is required.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\">5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Background Check required including fingerprint.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
