This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our <strong>Toronto</strong> office.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Working with the public transit team at <strong>GFT </strong>means shaping the future of transportation, delivering projects that improve mobility, safety, and accessibility for millions of passengers nationwide. Specializing in rail systems, bus rapid transit, and zero-emission mobility solutions, our experts combine deep technical knowledge with innovative thinking to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of transit networks. Together, we're transforming urban landscapes, reducing environmental impact, and connecting communities through state-of-the-art public transportation infrastructure.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mentor an established Canadian track engineering team delivering projects for Metrolinx, TTC, and freight rail clients (CPKC, CN, Etc.)</li>\n <li>Provide technical and project management oversight for planning, design, and construction support of track systems</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with Metrolinx, TTC, Transport Canada, AREMA, and host railway standards</li>\n <li>Coordinate track design with structures, signals, traction power, civil, drainage and utility disciplines</li>\n <li>Act as Project Manager or senior technical lead, accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and quality</li>\n <li>Serve as the primary client-facing lead for track-related matters</li>\n <li>Provide senior-level construction support as required</li>\n <li>Support business development activities, including client engagement and opportunity identification</li>\n <li>Contribute to and/or lead track focused proposal development, including technical approach, scope, and fee inputs</li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<strong>What you will bring to our firm: </strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario</li>\n <li>15+ years of track engineering experience</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>What we prefer you bring: </strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with rail clients</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of rail standards and operating railway environments</li>\n <li>Project management and client-facing experience</li>\n <li>Strong leadership, communication, and proposal development skill</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Compensation:</strong> The salary range for this role is $107,700.00 - $163,700.00.
