Description Job Summary The Senior Sourcing & Supplier Performance Engineer is a dual‑responsibility role accountable for both strategic sourcing and supplier performance excellence for Machining and Fabrication commodities. This position plays a critical role in building a resilient, competitive supply base by driving localization, cost optimization, supplier development, and continuous performance improvement across global Actuation manufacturing sites. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Sourcing Engineering Execute sourcing and localization strategies for Machining & Fabrication categories. Develop and manage supplier relationships, including preferred and strategic suppliers. Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop new suppliers aligned with global category strategies. Support New Product Development (NPD) by sourcing new materials and supplier capabilities. Negotiate commercial terms to achieve cost, delivery, and quality objectives. Identify and implement cost‑reduction and value‑engineering opportunities. Manage sourcing risk, tooling, and supplier‑related investments. Ensure compliance with Emerson sourcing policies and governance standards. Supplier Performance Engineering (SPE) Own supplier performance across Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Responsiveness . Work with the commodity management, Global Sourcing and factory support teams as well as others to ensure that the supply chain for raw materials / Finished Goods are well developed and managed to support all worldwide Actuation sites. Ensure supplier capacity and capability adequately support material needs and availability globally Drive improvements in: Delivery performance (RDSL / PDSL) Quality performance (Lot Acceptance, PPM) Lead supplier development initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, RCA, MSA, Control Plans). Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments to ensure capacity and readiness. Define, track, and review supplier scorecards aligned to operational and sustainability metrics. Take timely corrective actions for performance gaps impacting quality, delivery, or cost. Support global commodity strategies, risk mitigation, and cost containment (NMI). Collaborate with internal engineering and manufacturing teams to improve design, manufacturability, and productivity. Participate in supplier reviews and continuous improvement programs. Who You Are: Results‑driven supply chain professional with a strong engineering mindset, skilled in balancing strategic sourcing and supplier performance management, building cross‑functional and supplier partnerships, and driving data‑based continuous improvement in global environments.
