    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>The Senior Sourcing &amp; Supplier Performance Engineer is a dual‑responsibility role accountable for both strategic sourcing and supplier performance excellence for Machining and Fabrication commodities. This position plays a critical role in building a resilient, competitive supply base by driving localization, cost optimization, supplier development, and continuous performance improvement across global Actuation manufacturing sites.</p><p><strong>In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:</strong><br><strong>Sourcing Engineering</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Execute sourcing and localization strategies for Machining &amp; Fabrication categories.</li><li>Develop and manage supplier relationships, including preferred and strategic suppliers.</li><li>Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop new suppliers aligned with global category strategies.</li><li>Support New Product Development (NPD) by sourcing new materials and supplier capabilities.</li><li>Negotiate commercial terms to achieve cost, delivery, and quality objectives.</li><li>Identify and implement cost‑reduction and value‑engineering opportunities.</li><li>Manage sourcing risk, tooling, and supplier‑related investments.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Emerson sourcing policies and governance standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Supplier Performance Engineering (SPE)</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Own supplier performance across <strong>Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Responsiveness</strong>.</li><li>Work with the commodity management, Global Sourcing&nbsp;and factory support teams as well as others to ensure that the supply chain for raw materials / Finished Goods&nbsp;are well developed and managed to support all worldwide Actuation sites.</li><li>Ensure supplier capacity and capability adequately support material needs and availability globally</li><li>Drive improvements in:&nbsp;<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Delivery performance (RDSL / PDSL)</li><li>Quality performance (Lot Acceptance, PPM)</li></ul></li><li>Lead supplier development initiatives using <strong>Lean, Six Sigma, and quality tools</strong> (FMEA, SPC, RCA, MSA, Control Plans).</li><li>Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments to ensure capacity and readiness.</li><li>Define, track, and review supplier scorecards aligned to operational and sustainability metrics.</li><li>Take timely corrective actions for performance gaps impacting quality, delivery, or cost.</li><li>Support global commodity strategies, risk mitigation, and cost containment (NMI).</li><li>Collaborate with internal engineering and manufacturing teams to improve design, manufacturability, and productivity.</li><li>Participate in supplier reviews and continuous improvement programs.</li></ul><p><strong>Who You Are:</strong><br>Results‑driven supply chain professional with a strong engineering mindset, skilled in balancing strategic sourcing and supplier performance management, building cross‑functional and supplier partnerships, and driving data‑based continuous improvement in global environments.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>For This Role, You Will Need:</strong></p><p><br><span>&nbsp;</span>Bachelor’s degree in <strong>Mechanical, Production, or related Engineering discipline</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><span>&nbsp;</span><strong>5+ years</strong> of experience in <strong>Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supplier / Performance Engineering</strong></p><p><span>&nbsp;</span>Strong knowledge of <strong>Machining &amp; Fabrication commodities and suppliers</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><span>&nbsp;</span>Experience managing <strong>supplier quality, delivery, cost, and performance improvement</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><span>&nbsp;</span>Ability to apply <strong>Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving tools</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><span>&nbsp;</span>Strong <strong>commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><span>&nbsp;</span>Proficiency in <strong>English</strong>; working knowledge of <strong>SAP/Oracle</strong> preferred&nbsp;</p><p><span>&nbsp;</span>Willingness to <strong>travel up to 20–25%</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Our Culture and Commitment To You:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;\">At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
