On surgery days, we perform a range of procedures and we collaborate with boarded mobile specialists for orthopedics and advanced imaging modalities, providing an environment primed for growth.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><strong>What we need:</strong> The senior position calls for a minimum of 8 years vet tech experience in a full-service GP practice or ER / specialty setting or a combination of these.</p><p>We offer generous compensation, the option of overtime if more hours are needed, PTO and excellent, affordable benefits and pet discounts</p><p><strong><em>We Give a Lot Because We Want the Best!&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p><strong>Senior Tech Expected Skills:</strong><br>&nbsp; -Place IV catheters<br>&nbsp; -Record keeping<br>&nbsp; -Be able to calculate drug doses &ndash; turning milligrams into milliliters<br>&nbsp; -Prepare and read various cytologies<br>&nbsp; -Know how to perform CPR<br>&nbsp; -Be able to triage and help stabilize the urgent patient<br>&nbsp; - Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals<br>&nbsp; - Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, dental cleanings, scaling<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; and taking dental x-rays&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; - Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians<br>&nbsp; - Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments as well as &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; post-operatively&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; - Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures<br>&nbsp; - Proper positioning of pets when obtaining whole body or musculoskeletal x-rays<br>&nbsp; - Provide post-operative care and monitoring of animals<br>&nbsp; - Maintain veterinary equipment and instruments<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;-Motivated self-starter that take initiative</p><p><br>&nbsp;The Senior Technician position is a challenging and rewarding position for individuals passionate about animal care.
