We invite you to explore our opportunities and grow your career with us.</p>\n<p>The goal of the <strong>DC Manager</strong> is to successfully and effectively lead an end-to-end distribution facility team. The DC Manager manages inbound activities related to receipt and storage of goods, inventory management and put away of product. As well as managing outbound activities related to order planning, picking, packing, shipping, customer pick-up, small parcel or LTL shipment, or via company vehicles. Responsible for Distribution Center (DC) customer service levels, safety, and equipment maintenance/operations. The DC Manager administers overall inventory management, productivity and accuracy programs to ensure both customer requirements and financial requirements are met or exceeded in support of customer and operational excellence.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Drive continuous improvement in receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.</li>\n <li>Proactively manage inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.</li>\n <li>Optimize physical conditions of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.</li>\n <li>Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.</li>\n <li>Implement strategic process improvements within the DC and team to meet and exceed KPI goals.</li>\n <li>Facilitate warehouse employee onboarding and retention by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.</li>\n <li>Drive warehouse employees job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.</li>\n <li>Active participation and demonstrated leadership to achieve team goals and objectives aligned with strategic deliverables.</li>\n <li>Any other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Education and Formal Training & Experience:</p>\n<p>· Associate or Bachelor degree in logistics, finance, Business Mgmt. or equivalent preferred</p>\n<p>· 5-10 yrs. Experience managing warehouse operations teams</p>\n<p>· Strong organizational skills</p>\n<p>· Attention to details and sense of urgency</p>\n<p>· Able to handle high volume, fast paced, ever changing environment</p>\n<p>· Able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis</p>\n<p>· Computer literate</p>\n<p>· Must have forklift certification</p>\n<p>· Must be able to work without supervision, and lead others</p>\n<p>· Ability to work on Saturday and Sundays</p>\n<p>· Knowledge of HAZMAT handling and shipping processes and record keeping</p>\n<p>· Knowledge of general business practices and cost accounting principles</p>\n<p>· Experience dealing with all levels of management and with resolving customer issues.</p>\n<p>· Strong communication and leadership skills a must</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Working Conditions: This position requires accessing all areas in the plant</p>\n<p>Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
